  • CONSERVATION AND POLLUTION OF BIOLOGY (ML462)

(Concordia College BIO 226)

A study of the environmental problems facing humankind today as a result of human carelessness and ignorance: use of insecticides, solid waste disposal, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, radiation poisoning, and the politics and economics of pollution. Permission of instructor is required.

(1-semester course, no lab period, 1/2 MLS credit, 3 college credit)


  • FOOD AND NUTRITION (ML465)

(Concordia College BIO 255)

Basic food types and composition of major food substances. Methods of processing and preserving foods. General nutritional requirements of humans. Effects of processing on the nutritional value of foods. Effects of dieting, overeating, and starvation on the general health of humans. Permission of instructor is required.

  • INTRO. TO PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS (ML388)

Nature of purpose of statistics and its foundations in probability theory, introduction to
basic methods and models used in statistics, and discussion of the application and
misapplication of statistics in various fields. Prerequisite: Algebra II and teacher
approval.

An introduction to the basic concepts relating to management practices including planning, organization, direction, and control.

  • PRINCIPLES OF SPORT MANGAGEMENT (ML695)

(St. John's University SPM 1001)

This introduction to the professional area of sport management discusses basic philosophy and principles of sport at all levels. The term sport refers to all recreational competitive sports, exercise and fitness activities and dance. Management encompasses the activities associated with administration, supervision, and leadership.
