Financial Aid - In Short

Martin Luther School realizes that the financial obligations of private education may strain your budget.

We provide several opportunities throughout the year for your student to earn financial aid.

Academic Challenge (for students in grades 3-8)

  • Offered each Spring, students may compete in academic challenges against their peers
  • Prizes offered include scholarship vouchers

Academic Excellence Scholarships (for incoming 6th-9th graders)

  • Held in November.
  • MLS offers half and partial scholarships awarded to highest scorers on our Scholarship Exam.


  • To students and their families who can demonstrate financial need--may be applied yearly.
  • Parents request and file a financial aid application with the Private School Aid Service.
  • The financial aid committee of MLS determines the award amounts based on infromation from PSAS.
  • The grant is coupled with a service requirement.
  • NEW: FACTS Tuition Management has taken over Private School Aid Services. For more information, click here
    • Servant of Christ Scholarship

    • Awards of $200-$400 each are given to students who consider full-time service in the Lutheran Church.

    • Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarship

    • (Outside website/scholarship) Students who are of Italian descent (at least 25% Italian) who demonstrate academic progress and who are from households where the total gross income does not exceed $20,000 per capita ($20,000 per person in the household) are eligible. Click here.

    • More detailed information on these scholarship programs as well as Grant-in-Aid applications are available upon the student's acceptance to MLS.
