Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4

Thanks to all that came out to support our Talent Show this past Friday night. We have such talented students!! A special thanks to Ms. Papatsos for making the Talent Show such a success.

Please remember to return your parent surveys. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Students, Parents/Guardians we highly encourage you to help us maintain a well-balanced atmosphere at Martin Luther School.  It is important to finish the school year strong.  The student handbook explains the policies for cell phone/electronic use and dress code.  As of late due to the high percentage of student's lack of compliance and cooperation please note the following changes to these policies in bold.

Cell Phone/Electronic Devices: Not permitted to be used during school hours. Standard procedure in effect however Refusal to hand in phone will result in an In School Suspension.

Parents we are asking that you do not call or text students on their cell phones during school hours. In case of emergency please call the school office. In response to a school page or phone call, students are allowed to use the office phone. Students may come to the office during the day to ask permission to call or text their parent from their device.  In the event a student has taken ill or is not feeling well he/she needs to report to the main office so that the office initiates the communication to the respective parent/guardian.

Dress Code: Must be worn during school hours. Standard procedure in effect however students will be asked to contact parents for a change of clothes/sneakers.

The entire staff appreciates you and thanks you for your support and attention to these matters!

Re-enrollment contracts are now available on the Parent Portal. Please complete the contracts along with submitting the $500 deposit before May 1, 2019. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Slinger at or 718-894-4000 ext. 150.

I would like to wish each of you a Blessed Easter and a restful break! The next post will be April 28th.

Mrs. Younghese
