Alumni Relations

Turkey, stuffing, collard greens, corn bread, sweet potatoes pies, and other delicious items were all a part of my Thanksgiving Day. However, the meal came second to spending the day with family and friends and thanking our Lord Jesus Christ for his countless blessings. I pray that you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day as well!

As you read through the following, you will see it was a busy month here at Martin Luther School. We celebrated the achievements of some very special people during a snow storm, continued planning for upcoming alumni reunions, unveiled a limited edition MLS Christmas item and announced a new learning center for our students. This is merely a snapshot of the month of November.

I ask that you keep our school, students, staff, and plans for the future in your prayers.

Have a very Merry Christmas & a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Chris Brown

Wall of Achievers Banquet

On November 15th, the snow did not stop us from honoring our three new Wall of Achievers Inductees and recognizing Ben & Jeanette Herbrich with a special presentation. Thank you to our generous sponsors, our volunteers, and all of the attendees who braved the snow storm to come and join us for for the festivities.

During the evening we were excited to announce our plans to create the Ben & Jeanette Herbrich Student Success Center, which will help students reach their "individual bests" here at Martin Luther School. The plan involves combing our existing Guidance Office and Academic Lab to offer more resources to enhance the academic opportunities for each student.

Celebrating Christmas with MLS

Message from James R. Regan, Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day will soon be here so the countdown begins to that very special time of year!

Food, friendship, family, festive fun, fellowship and focusing on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, are just some of what we wish for to make our celebrations “just right”.

Decorations are also a big part of our Christmas traditions, as are gifts for those we care about most. At Martin Luther School, we care most about our students (present and past), so we are building on the new tradition, which we started last year, of making this Christmas “A Cougar Christmas.”

Some of everyone’s most vivid Christmas memories often involve their Christmas trees too (at home, at church, at school and even in stores). This year we will make our MLS Christmas Tree even more special by highlighting our “Brand New You” academic theme with our new 2018 Limited Edition Ornament. You can, too!

We will be selling our “Brand New You” ornaments at the MLS Christmas Concert on December 14th at 7:00 pm, here at the school. We hope you will join us!

If you can’t be with us on the 14th, we will send you a 2018 Limited Edition Ornament FREE with any donation of $50.00 or more to put on your tree or to give to a friend or loved one for theirs. Proceeds will go toward funding our Arts Program with much needed new sound equipment for our students’ performances.Donations received by December 15th, will guarantee that you will receive your ornament in time for Christmas.

I will put each and every one of you in my prayers, along with our hard-working students and my MLS family of dedicated Staff, for a blessed Christmas of caring and sharing.
