Martin Luther School’s Board of Directors Names James R. Regan Executive Director

“No one could be more proud of Jim,” beamed Michael Jakob, President of the MLS Board. For 41 years, Jim has been a Cougar. From his student years to his teaching and coaching years, to his almost 4 decades as Athletic Director and Administrator, Jim’s hard work, deep faith and tireless dedication have always been evident in everything he does at MLS. Known throughout our community and well beyond, every day Jim brings his in-depth understanding of quality education,  profound appreciation of his staff and colleagues and sheer joy at seeing our students excel, uncover and develop new skills as they move on to college. His trust and confidence in his team are evident in the way he credits them for successes, yet Jim is the first to step up to tackle problems when they arise. Known for his collaborative and calm leadership style, “Jim is always hungry to make things better, especially for our students,” stated one of his key staff members.

Last year, the Board entrusted Jim to act as Executive Director when Randy Gast was appointed to run MLS’s International Recruitment efforts. Not only did Jim accept, he dove in and spear-headed MLS’s “Reset For Growth” Initiative, the exciting task of updating our building, our technology, and even our staff, which resulted in an investment by our Foundation and Board of several hundred thousand dollars. When you ask Jim what all was accomplished this past year, he will be quick to reply “Please come see for yourself; I’ll give you a tour! Every day is an Open House at Martin Luther School.” What you will see is positive change for the better, an even better learning environment and an increasing enrollment.

“Strengthening our awareness & branding, our community outreach, our facilities, our tools and most of all, our students’ successes are our priorities,” he said. He means it when he invites you to come see for yourself at this year’s revamped ‘Open House’ on October 13th from 11am-3pm.
