Christina Mesk ' 00

"My name is Christina Mesk and I am a member of the Class of 2000. I am a Special Education Teacher in Sunset Park, Brooklyn where I have been educating for 15 years. Alumni Relations Council

The newly formed MLS ARC met on Saturday, October 26th. The meeting was led by Council Co-Chairs: Carolyn Vitale (ML'66) and Brad Belz (ML'68). Members in attendance were: Jonathan Hill (ML'79), Nancy Kito (ML'81), Lindsay Adams (ML'86), Matthew Garrone (ML'10), and Chris Brown (ML'81, Director of Development & Alumni Relations). Executive Director James Regan (ML'76) attended the meeting and expressed the importance of alumni involvement at MLS. 

ARC was created to: 

  • Encourage alums to give back a portion of their time, talents and treasures to our Cougar community. 
  • Suggest new and participate in activities which strengthen and support the education of our MLS students. 
  • Support our Mission through personal testimonies and strategize efforts to increase Giving to MLS. 
  • Share our Alums' attitudes, opinions, and resources with the Alumni Relations & Development Team. 
  • Plan fun alumni sponsored activities and events.

Dr. Cheryl Gooden (ML'76)

Dr. Cheryl Gooden (ML'76) was recently appointed as the Interim Chief of the Section of Pediatric Anesthesia at Yale New Haven Hospital, Department of Anesthesiology. As stated by Roberta Hines, MD, Chair Yale Anesthesiology, "Since joining the Department, Cheryl has distinguished herself as an exemplary clinician and a passionate educator."
